Belazu are also committed to help protect the planet by reducing energy and water use, sourcing responsibly, reducing waste and engaging ensuring the same down the supply chain. They became a zero-landfill business in 2013, directly recycling 75% waste, sending 15% for recycling and recovering energy through the incineration of the remaining 10%.
HOW THEY GIVE BACK
They set up the Belazu Foundation as a registered charity to promote educational support for deprived children in both Morocco and the UK.
The foundation also helps the Morrocan villagers by bringing in clean drinking water to the village of Tidli and installing electricity in the schools.
Closer to home the Belazu Foundation has also sponsored a school in Oxfordshire,UK for children with complex special educational needs. They have also developed a food education programme entitled ‘Fresh Enterprise’, for schools in and around the London Borough of Ealing in partnership with School Food Matters.
